Muriel (born around April of 2024) is an active and social mixed breed that came to Safe Haven after being found as a stray in the community. She loves being around other dogs as well as humans, and she is hoping for a forever family who will be patient with her as she learns the rules of living in a home that is able to provide plenty of activities for her energy level.

Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary (SHAS) is a no-kill, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 1996, and is the largest and longest-running no-kill facility in the Las Cruces, NM area. SHAS provides medical care, food, shelter and comfort to nearly 90 homeless cats and dogs of our community, while seeking caring homes for them.
