My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reggie is a fantastic short king looking for his forever home with an experienced family! ! This handsome pup came in with another dog who he got along fantastically with. Reggie gets along with dogs of various sizes and is learning the ropes on playing. Fetch is one of his great loves but he’s also content just to hang out with you and knows a few tricks for snacks! Reggie is currently enrolled in our Sit, Stay, Adopt Program which is a behavior program geared towards helping dogs who may need extra support post-adoption. Please reach out to our Outreach and Behavior Coordinator, Emily Herr if you are interested in meeting Reggie! herre@bloomington.in.gov

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Please come in and visit with our pets available for adoption. Once you find an animal you would like to adopt, you will be asked to fill out an adoption survey and meet with an adoption counselor. We do require landlord approval and we do not adopt out animals to live completely outside. Our adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under 5 years old and $55 for those 5 years and older.

More about this shelter

The shelter has very active volunteer and foster programs. Volunteers walk dogs and help with cat care. Fosters take young, shy and injured animals into their homes to prepare them for adoption. Learn more on our website and consider getting involved today!
