We fostered many kittens before my husband fell in love with Maya and adopted her. We already had another cat and a Chihuahua and all lived very happily for many years in a complex that had 64 acres of land and more than 2,000 trees.
My husband had to move out and could not take Maya with him, and sadly our Chihuahua passed while also my daughter downsized and then moved for a second time; all in a period or about 3 years.
Maya has not been the same and gradually has become sad as she misses the freedom of going out to the urban forest she grew up in.
Even when she's a very sweet cat and purrs and is next to me most of the day while I work, she sometimes poops out of her litter box as a complaint for not being able to go out and hunt as she used to.
We recently adopted a lost German Shepherd and she is terrified
I feel she would be very happy in a ranch or any home with a lot of trees where she can claim and hunt birds, and trays, and lizards... I just want her to be happy again.
