CHOCOLATE is just as sweet as she sounds. This loving 1.5 year old mixed breed is in need of a quiet home with playful humans who can grow with her.
Chocolate has overcome so many obstacles and has come so far in the past 3 months, all while supplying endless kisses and silliness along the way. She loves to engage with other dogs on walks/in the park, play with her stuffed toys, and most of all she LOVES to cuddle while watching TV. Chocolate is crate trained, microchipped, spayed, up to date on all of her shots, and has an otherwise clean bill of health. Since Chocolate has been with us, she has learned a lot of tricks (knows sit, down, stay, come, drop it, wait), is well potty training (will go on reusable grass pad/ wait to go outside), and sleeps through the night.
Even after 3 months of amazing progress, a loud and busy Brooklyn neighborhood is not the right fit for her. Her adopter's decision to rehome Chocolate is because she needs an environment that’s more suitable to her; ideally a quiet neighborhood, a backyard or other areas that she can explore would be nice. Chocolate’s playful spirit does best when she’s able to go on multiple long walks a day or has the ability to play with other dogs. Chocolate needs patient, loving humans who will continue to work on leash pulling, basic manners, and introductions to new human friends. With the right home and careful attention to her needs, Chocolate’s true colors will shine through.
She is a wonderful dog who landed in the wrong environment and is in need of both a fresh start and copious amounts of belly rubs. We are confident she will melt your heart as she did ours.
