Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

When visiting the shelter, take time to view all of the animals available for adoption and allow ample time to look and visit your new pet.

2.

Submit Application

Adopters must be 19 years of age or older and provide proof of identification. A home visit may be required.

3.

Interview

Our staff will work with your family when you visit and take the time to find your perfect match.

4.

Approve Application

This process includes: filling out an application, counseling session, and interacting with the animal you are interested in adopting.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

If your pet is not already altered, you will sign a contract to have the spay/neuter surgery done. State law requires this to be done!

6.

Pay Fee

Dogs and Cats- $85.00 deworming, up to date vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm testing (dogs), FIV/FELV testing (cats), rabies vaccine.

7.

Take the Pet Home

Introducing a new pet to your home should be a decision that involves all members of the family.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fee is $85.00 which includes standard vaccines, rabies vaccination, microchips and sterilization surgery.

Adoptable pets are also available at Petsmart, Petco and Pet Supplies Plus in Florence.
