Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Joey is an absolute lover boy. He loves nothing more than curling up on someone’s lap but can also be quite playful. Joey is pretty easy going for a puppy of his age.All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots.
Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

All our rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on core vaccines (DAPP, bordetella and rabies if over 16 weeks of age), adults are heartworm tested, and all dogs are micro-chipped and have necessary veterinary care.

All our dogs are in temporary care homes. If you would like to be contacted by one of our volunteer adoption coordinators go to www.foreverhomedogs.org and fill out an application. Please be aware you must be at least 21 years of age to adopt from us. We verify rental/condo policies as well as home ownership. If you have had prior pets, we will call your vet to confirm responsible pet care. A home visit will also be conducted prior to approval.

More about this rescue
Forever Home Dog Rescue is dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals primarily from high-kill shelters.
In working with committed volunteers, temporary care homes and local veterinarians, we are able to rescue dogs, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. All our rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and have all necessary veterinary care.
We were formed in January 2014 and are a non-profit organization in central Iowa. We are pending our official 501c3 status. We receive no government funding and rely completely on donations.
