Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Milo is my name! I am a playful fellow who loves toys, harassing the other kitties in the home and looking out the windows. I am a handsome fellow who is a wonderful bundle of energy. I am litter box trained, neutered, and current on all vaccinations. Contact steelecountyhumanesociety@gmail.com or call 507-451-4512 to set up a meet-n-greet. My adoption fee is $200.

Thank you so much for your interest in adoption! Please fill out our Pre-Adoption Form. Simply fill out the form, save it to your desktop and then email it to us.
This is what we will use to guide you through the adoption process. It is not an application. We keep all forms on file for two months. When we take in pets, we make sure they have the necessary shots, food, and wellness checks. Our adoption fees are necessary to cover the initial costs.

Currently, the SCHS does not have a shelter. We expect completion of our new building in early 2025. Until then, our animals live in foster homes where they are loved, socialized, and provided all veterinary services, including neutering and spaying until they are ready for their forever homes.
