Here's what the humans have to say about me:
WHISKERS is a SEAL POINT HIMALAYAN with blue eyes. He has an adorable face adorned with rather long whiskers. He is 8 years old, neutered, has his claws, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped. He weighs around 9 lbs.
Whiskers came into rescue after his owner passed away. When he first entered his foster parent’s home, he spent a couple of days in hiding. He then quickly decided that it is way more fun to be part of the family dynamics, and is now cruising around his foster home as if he has lived here for a while. He likes to be close by where his foster parents are, and enjoys sleeping with his foster parents at night.
Prior to coming into foster care, he lived with two older dogs, but not with cats. In his foster parent’s home, he has met other mild mannered mature kitties and seems to enjoy their company. He actually seems to want a kitty friend that he can interact with. Whiskers like it when his foster mom floats DaBird around for a bit so he can show his prowess by catching it in mid-flight and he also enjoys bunny kicking the catnip mouse for some extra pleasure. Occasionally he will even bat around a crinkle ball.
Other than that, he isn’t really a play monster, but rather enjoys lounging on a window ledge or anywhere else he can observe what’s going on. He has quickly warmed his way into his foster parents' hearts. This adorable little nugget enjoys spending a bit of time on their laps, he doesn’t mind being brushed, and he enjoys cheek and chin scratches. However, in the interest of full disclosure, he is NOT a fan of getting his nails trimmed. He does benefit from getting his eyes cleaned daily which he doesn’t mind. We haven’t tested him with small children, but think that cat savvy children will be fine for him.
Whiskers is great with using the litter box. He eats both wet and dry food, and since wet food is healthy and needed for proper hydration, we would like to find him a home that will continue to offer it. Preference will be given to adopters who have/had Himalayans and are experienced with the upkeep of this breed.
ADOPTION FEE $350. FOSTERED IN MEQUON, WI.
