My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 9 years old
Weight: 5.83kg / 12.9lb

Meet Oliver, the sweetest senior boy with a heart full of love! Oliver adores cheek rubs and will lean right in for all the scritches you can give. He’s a happy guy who’ll let out adorable little chirps to get your attention and loves nothing more than being close to his people. While he’s carrying a few extra pounds, he’s hoping his forever family can help him get back in shape with a gentle weight loss plan. Oliver would thrive in a calm, cozy home where he can enjoy his golden years in comfort and love. Ready to welcome this charming chonky boy? Oliver can’t wait to meet you!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
