My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**see my video**
Meet Callie, a stunning, large cat with a big personality! She loves being the center of attention and adores being brushed-lucky, given her gorgeous, thick coat! In return, she'll reward you with happy purrs and gentle kneading from her big, biscuit-making paws.

This playful girl has never met a wand toy she didn't love, and despite her size, she can really move! Her love of play is perfect for her weight-loss journey, as long as her new family keeps playtime active and her mealtimes structured-no endless buffet for Callie!

In her last home, Callie was best friends with a dog and got along with one of the cats, so she could do well with another friendly pet if introduced slowly. At heart, Callie is a snuggle bug who loves cozying up on the couch or bed, and she'll let you know she's ready for love or playtime with her adorable meows.

Callie would thrive with a family that includes older children and plenty of affection. Her favorite pastimes include lounging by the window, watching the world go by, and spending time with her people. With Callie, you're not just getting a cat-you're gaining a loyal, loving friend who's always excited to see you.

Callie is hanging out in foster care and is not available to meet. If you want to learn more about her email Springfield@dakinhumane.org or call 423.782.4000

Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully.

This cat has specific litterbox needs. When you bring this cat home they will need to be set up in a room by themselves. This cat will go home with a behavior plan that you will need to follow in order for them to use the litterbox reliably.
