My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Walnut, the big, lovable snuggle bug who-just like walnuts in your favorite baked goods-makes everything better! This sweet, easy-going fella is like the perfect ingredient in life, bringing warmth, joy, and a dash of humor wherever he goes. He's got that laid-back vibe and fits in with his doggie roommates like they're all part of one big, cozy recipe.

Walnut's a pro at lounging and loves nothing more than hanging with his humans, whether it's for a stroll around the block or a solid Netflix binge. Ready to add a little extra love to your family? Walnut's here to bring the sweetness, the fluff, and a whole lot of couch-cuddling goodness-no baking required!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
