My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bella, a total sweetheart who brings joy wherever she goes!

- Gentle and loving, she adores cuddles and is great with kids (7, 5, and 2 years old!)

- A social butterfly with the pups, she loves to romp around with her three doggy friends.

- Bella knows the basics (sit and come) and may be a quick study thanks to her dog friends.

- Fully house-trained and does great left out of the crate-no worries while you're out!

- Prefers back pets over head rubs, so she gets a gentle approach to keep her comfy.

** Bella came to Anderson Animal Shelter, where she tested positive for Heartworm, but don't worry! She's staying cheerful and the shelter staff will support you every step of the way during her treatment and recovery.
Treatment typically takes about three months, with easy at-home steps to keep her safe.
After treatment, she'll just need a quick follow-up in six months to confirm her recovery.
Heartworm is only transmitted by mosquitoes, so a few simple precautions will keep her protected. **

Bella is on her way to a healthy, happy future-and she's excited to bring endless love to her forever family!

For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
