Hey there, I’m Tangerine! I’m a 4 year old buff cutie pie who knows how to make an entrance: I was found on someone’s porch giving birth to my kittens! Luckily those people brought me and my babies inside and I became part of Billy the Kidden’s family.
After my babies were weaned, it was finally time for me to get spayed and discover a whole new life where I’m not raising babies on my own all the time! I am a VERY sweet and affectionate girl, and also fairly laid back. I love pets and getting forehead kisses from my favorite humans.
I have a lot of inner kitten in me, and I’m learning that I really like to play! Wand toys and catnip mice that I can chase are some of my favorites. I get intimidated by bigger cats, but I’ve enjoyed cats my own size as playmates. I’m not sure if I’ve been around dogs or kids.
I really, really love cat trees! My favorite napping spot is in the cubby of a cat tree, all warm and snug. My humans love that sometimes my cute little face looks like I’m smiling when I’m especially content.
I like both wet and dry food, and I’m not very picky! Most of all I just really want a warm, safe home and a forever family. My early life was lonely and scary. I’m ready to find my people and share all the love that my sweet heart has to give, and to be loved and secure at long last.

We have an adoption application to learn a bit about the home our cats will be going to and the family's motivation for adoption and expectations about pet ownership. We also have an adoption contract, which includes a no declawing and indoor-only clause along with a vet promissory note that ensures you will continue with the medical care and spay/neuter if needed.
We DO NOT do any out of state adoptions except on the NC border on a case-by-case basis.
We require a donation of $120 for adoption of unaltered kittens with a PTV Contract. All kittens receive vaccine series and wormings as well as medical treatment as needed. The adopter is responsible for obtaining their rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if the kitten is not of age at the time of adoption. We can provide resources for low cost clinics that offer these services.
We ask a donation of $25 to adopt Career/barn cats.
We require a donation of at least $140 for adoption of Spayed/neutered cat.
Bonded pairs adoption donation is $200.
Sometimes we require rental checks or home inspections. We always have a Meet n Greet to make sure everyone gets along. We encourage bringing the whole family!
