My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cruller is as sweet as that donut you crave. He is only 3 months old but is already confident, curious and kind. He will happily hop about, sit on your lap, ask for treats and cuddles. He may be a smidge nervous when he first meets you but it only takes him a few minutes to warm up to someone.

Cruller is excited to find his forever home so he can experience endless love, treats, snuggles and room to hop around.

Are you that home? We hope so.

Please note Cruller is scheduled to be neutered on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at King George Vet. If you wish to take him home before then, please be available to take me to my appointment!

Note: Rabbits are very active animals that require space to hop around; x-pens or even a full rabbit room would be great! Please do your research to ensure your lifestyle is compatible with the needs of a rabbit.

More about this shelter

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
