Roland is a charming 4-year-old, 12.5-pound purebred Dachshund looking for his forever home. After spending his early years as a breeding dog, he’s now ready to embrace the joys of a loving family.
Though he’s still learning to socialize, Roland is incredibly sweet and craves affection. He loves pets and cuddles, and while he may be a bit skittish at first, he quickly warms up during quiet moments. You can expect morning wake-up calls filled with gentle kisses from this little guy!
Roland is mostly potty trained and uses a pet door like a pro. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playtime, but he hasn’t been tested with cats. He’s curious and might bark at small animals, but he has never shown aggression toward people or pets. In fact, he has a gentle, submissive nature.
On walks, Roland is learning to navigate the world, and he’s gaining confidence each day. He does well on a leash but would thrive in a calm environment, ideally with someone who is home often to help him adjust and socialize.
Roland’s health is great—he’s up to date on shots, chipped, heartworm tested, and neutered. He recently had a dental cleaning, so his smile is bright!
He would do best in a home without small children, where he can feel safe and loved. His adoption fee is $275.
