My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There is an adorable video of me on social media! Click here to experience the cuteness!

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I don't always like to share my food, toys or bedding with other animals.

I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.

A volunteer writes: We don't want to alarm anyone but there is a 61 pound marshmallow in one of our kennels. When I peel in and see Funky Pants staring back at me, I immediately squeal. Look at the kissable pink snoot!! A sign on his kennel tells me he's likely deaf, and in fact Funky Pants doesn't seem to hear any of the noises we make while we hang out. He responds easily to a light touch, curling in for marshmallow snuggles. He loves our toys and parades his around to show me how cool it is.

Later I saw that Funky Pants has actually been with us for a while, found stray and spending a while in our Manhattan shelter before a brief stint in foster, and back to Queens. We are quite pleased to be his host, but...I invite you to picture this squishable marshmallow on your couch snoring away this fall, keeping you warm and smiling. If you are an ACC foster looking for a new guest, please contact the foster team. If you are looking for long term commitment, come visit Funky Pants at Queens ACC!
