My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gunner! This stunning young guy is a fur ball full of potential waiting to find his forever human. He is sweet, charming, energetic but also part-time couch potato.
He loves running around the yard rough-housing with his foster siblings and learning how to play with toys, but his favorite activity is a nap on his cot underneath a shady spot. He really loves his yard.
Gunner does well inside after his enthusiastic tail settles down, he hasn’t had any accidents inside and is just a curious sweet guy eager to explore. He has done well with children and dog-savvy indoor cats, a quick sniff and moves on.
Gunner loooves belly rubs and ear scratchies but also knows how to be independent and keep himself busy.
He knows how to “sit” and “wait” and is working on leash training with a gentle leader. He needs a family willing to continue training him and working on manners while out and about.
He is very smart and highly trainable (and very fond of chicken). Gunner could really be somebody’s best friend…is that somebody you?

More about this rescue

Shepherd's Paws Animal Rescue was established in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the specific purpose of operating an all breed animal rescue. We are dedicated to providing rescue to abandoned, abused, neglected and homeless animals. We rescue dogs in the United States from imminent death at animal shelters, humane societies, pounds, and from owners who can no longer keep their dogs, and place them into new and permanent adoptive homes.

All of our dogs receive vet care, are up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered.
