My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kittay has been one of the most laid back kitties this foster mom has ever dealt with, unbothered by anything. She made herself right at home and has had patience with everything she's encountered, from young toddlers playing, young puppies challenging her, older cats being hissy at her, and even vacuums don't phase her.  She took a few weeks to warm up to the other adult cats in the foster home, she was a bit growly at first. She loves belly rubs and just about any petting head to toe. Mostly keeps to herself when it comes to other animals, but not opposed to taking over a free lap if it's there. Foster mom has had to be vigilant about doors in the house too, she will just casually walk out any door that is open, not a big runner though so she's been easy to catch. She's been a very good momma cat, but she's still young and would love a chance at being a playful cat in a home with lots of love.

More about this rescue

Misfits, Mutts and Meows is a public rescue that is now a 501(c)3. We are incorporated as a not-for-profit in the state of Oklahoma. Which means all donations are tax deductible. My husband and I have been rescuing animals for about 15 years by working with other rescue groups. We felt it was time for us to take matters into our own hands to get some of the many rescues we have adopted into their forever homes. We work with our local animal control to find homes for unclaimed dogs and we have many of the animals that others decided were to hard to get adopted. We want every animal to find the perfect home. Our local friends are a great help in getting to word out on those in need of homes. We are an environmentally friendly rescue. We utilize both veterinary medicine and natural healing to ensure the health of our animals.
