Take the Pet Home
Hello! My name is Ohni and I’m a sweet and somewhat shy pup looking for my forever home. My fosters say I’m genuinely a joy to be around—an easygoing girl who gets along well with adults, seniors, and other dogs, especially young, bouncy ones. I might take a little time to warm up to new people, particularly men, but I’m eager to make friends!
I really love stuffies! I’ll toss them into the air and chase them around, then find a cozy spot to quietly and mercilessly gut them. I enjoy playing chase, even if I can’t seem to catch anything—those toys just bounce off my adorable face! I’m also housebroken, crate trained, and very good on a leash, so I’m ready for walks and playtime.
During quiet evenings, I’m happy to settle down with a bone or a filled Kong. On weekends, I love curling up on a dog bed above my foster’s head for a cozy nap, or just being nearby while they read. I take treats gently, but if it’s something special like a slice of ham, I can get a little quick and snatch it!
While I’m a wonderful young dog, I do have some quirks. I can be reactive to certain movements—like when my foster parents clap or reach for each other—and it’s best to keep me in a quiet space during loud activities, like football games. I also broke out of a wire crate once, so a sturdy plastic crate or a home where someone is around a lot would be ideal.
I’d thrive in a low-energy, quieter home without a lot of chaos. I’m a bit chonky right now, but we’re working on that, and I’m the perfect size—smaller than a typical Border Collie. I’m affectionate and love to bond with my humans, following them around quietly, even getting up from naps to join them.
If you’re looking for a sweet, shy companion who loves to play and cuddle, I might just be the perfect fit for you!
