My story

Chiquita is a 6-month old survivor. Rescued from the streets of Tijuana, Chiquita has been through alot in her young life. She has no home or family but a local man was kind enough to start feeding her. One day, she stopped showing up and when she reappeared she was extremely sick. The man took her to the vet where she had so many mites in and on her body that they told him if he didn’t bring her in, she would not have made it through the night. She is now fully recovered and healthy! She is one of the happiest dogs and her tail never stops wagging. She just wants to be in your lap, snuggling and cuddling you. She gets along with dogs! She loves to eat and would be an incredible companion to anyone! She is actively looking for her forever family! Chiquita is also available for fostering! Let’s get this girl into a safe, loving home and off the streets for good!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Submit an online application on our website and someone from our team will respond to you within 3 days.

2.
Home Check

We will speak with you to ensure the pet you are interested in is the best match! Then, we will schedule your virtual home check.

3.
Approve Application

Your application will be approved if everything checks and then you will be in our system as an approved adopter.

4.
Meet the Pet

We will arrange for you to meet the pet and foster family. All resident dogs must also be part of the meet and greet.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

If all goes well and you want to adopt you will sign our adoption contract that we email to you.

6.
Pay Fee

You will then pay the adoption fee to us through Venmo or Paypal.

7.
Take the Pet Home

Congratulations! You can then take your new furry friend home!

Additional adoption info

Our application process is a no-obligation application. So even if you are not sure about a pet that you applied for, you can stay in our system as an approved adopter - unless you change home residences then you will need to re-apply.

Our lovable dogs are currently residing in various foster homes throughout San Diego. To arrange a meet-and-greet with any of our adoptable pets, please visit our website at Passion for Pitties to fill out an adoption application. Once your application is approved, we will coordinate with you to schedule a visit with the dog of your choice.

As a dedicated non-profit 501(c)(3) foster-based pitbull rescue, our mission is to save bully breeds/pit bulls from shelters and find them loving homes. Pitbulls are incredibly social dogs that thrive on being included in family activities and maintaining their social interactions.
