JayJay is a former stray looking to live the good life in a home of his very own! This big boy has an even bigger personality, and once he gets to know you he loves to show it off. He is friendly, playful, and curious, always enjoying play and snuggle time with the people he loves. JayJay was very scared when he first came to the shelter, but with lots of treats and patience he came around to be the loving cat you see today! It may take him a few days to settle in to his new home, and potential adopters should be ready to give him the space he needs to adjust so that he can be his happy self again. Approved applicants will be asked to come to the shelter to meet the dog. (Cats/kittens are at other locations to visit)

Interested in a dog? Please fill out an application at our website, please list dogs name on application or if you don't see one, please list breed/gender you are looking for. (We can place you on a wish list) Once approved we will watch for a dog for you. When we get in animal that might be what you are looking for we will contact you to set up an appointment to meet the pet.

$60 Adoption fee for cats. $100 for kittens. $150 Adoption fee for dogs. $250 for puppies. All potential adopters must complete our Adoption Application.

** Most cats/kittens are located at PetSmart in Utica or PetSmart in Bloomfield Hills, unless noted **

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable cats are located at a PetSmart in Utica, PetSmart in Bloomfield Hills or a PetCo in Roseville. You can visit them at the stores when they are open.

For Dogs we are asking people to fill out an application online to get approved. Applications can be found here: https://macsshelter.org/dog-application. We will schedule a meet and greet of the dog after application approval.

We do take our dogs to different pet stores in the Metro Detroit area on Saturday's. You can visit our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/macs1935) to see where our next dog adoption event will be located. These events start at 11 AM - 2:30 PM.
