Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Perdita, or Perdy as we sometimes call her, is a happy 13 pound dog . She came from the streets of Puerto Rico heavily pregnant to Howard County Maryland She has been in her foster home for two months and delivered her puppies here. She is a sweet dog who has been friendly with a variety of people and dogs. She has been busy being an excellent mom to her six puppies, but as her motherly duties are decreasing, she is becoming more and more playful, enjoying a variety of toys and wanting to hang out outside to walk, play and sniff. She enjoys bones., too. She loves to be with people and enjoys hanging out on the couch or snuggling up to whoever is available.
She had some occasional housebreaking accidents, especially when she first came. But has been doing very well in recent weeks.
Adopter will need to bring her to our vet in Columbia, Md on Wednesday Nov 13 or Thursday Nov 21 to be spayed (at our cost of course).
PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing and using the “contact us” link is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog. Petfinder inquires are not sent to us.
The adoption fee is $425, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative and spay/neuter. All of our dogs will be microchipped.
APPLY AT ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG (click on the word "Adopt" at top of page to find the dropdown menu with application)
Because our dogs are in foster homes, applications are required prior to setting up any appointments. Calling or emailing may delay your consideration. Find our application on our website, almosthomedogs.org, then click on "Adopt" tab at top
We are a non profit no kill 501 (c)3 rescue. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging. Currently check, cash or venmo is preferred payment
