My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paisley is one popular gal. Popularity doesn't seem to be the ticket out of the shelter though. She has been waiting for her owner, but when that didn't pan out, she hasn't had an empty dance card. Everyone she meets joins her fan club. Paisley is young and spunky. She came to us neglected and hungry. Paisley will eat anything, even the soggy old busy bone. Paisley knows some commands, is smart, eager, and comfortable with all over handling. She is hard not to love. We get why she is so popular!

Came in as a stray on 10/1/24.

Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL

Email visitcacc@cityofchicago.org for more information.

The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.

All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.

Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
