My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Nic Cage is currently in a foster home, and he is available for adoption. Email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org to set up a meet + greet! **

Are you ready for an adventure? Meet Nicolas Cage, a small breed mix with a big personality and an even bigger mission! This clever little guy is on a quest to steal your heart — and maybe even the Declaration of Independence, if you`re not looking.

Nicolas Cage is dog-friendly, and he’s got the charm to win over everyone in the house, whether human or canine. He’s ready to join your team of treasure hunters, keeping you on your toes with his playful energy and endearing antics. With his keen nose for excitement and mystery, you never know what this little guy might discover next!

Nicolas Cage is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal, spunky dog with a passion for adventure. He’s got the brains, the charm, and the determination — all he needs now is a family that’s ready to join him in his next great heist (or just cozy up for snuggles).

If you’re ready for the ride of a lifetime, Nicolas Cage is waiting to make you the next chapter in his story!

More about this shelter

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
