My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Salty, a charming black and white kitten with mesmerizing hazel eyes and fur
that's thick and incredibly soft to the touch. Salty is a bit shy at first and takes a little
time to warm up to new people and surroundings. However, once he feels safe, he
transforms into the sweetest cuddle buddy. Pick him up, and he'll happily sleep for
hours on your lap, finding comfort in a warm, cozy spot.
Shadow is also a master of chasing strings and can jump incredibly high, showcasing
his playful and agile nature. While he hasn't been around dogs and might struggle with
his shyness, Salty's loving and gentle personality makes him a wonderful companion for
a calm and patient household.

Go meet their pets

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also partner with Ziggy's Cat Lounge in Bremerton for our cats and kittens.

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America.
