If there are multiple applicants, the adopter will be chosen by random drawing then contacted if they have won the drawing to schedule a meet and greet with your family and any dogs in the household. Meet and greets will be completed by appointment only, with an approved adoption application.
AVAS staff will work with interested adopters/rescuers to determine the best placement for animals in our care. The priority will be placement into a permanent loving home.

Animal Rescue Organizations or individuals forming a group to rescue animals that do not have a tax-exempt 501(c)3 status may contact AVAS staff for pre-approval of an Animal Rescue Organization Agreement (valid for 1-year). Terms outlined in agreement.
