Meet Bruce, the charming tan dog with a heart of gold! With his striking good looks and warm, gentle demeanor, Bruce has a way of capturing the hearts of everyone he meets. This sweet pup loves nothing more than to lean into you, offering his comforting presence and endless affection. Whether he's snuggling on the couch or basking in the sun, Bruce brings joy and warmth to every moment. His playful spirit is matched only by his kindness, making him a beloved companion and a true friend. Get ready for lots of tail wags and heart-melting moments with this handsome boy by your side!
When I arrived at Anderson Animal Shelter from their partner shelter in Oklahoma, I tested positive for Heartworm.
The staff believes that the best place for heartworm-positive dogs like me to be while going through treatments and recovering is with a loving and forever family like yours.
If you choose to adopt me, the clinic staff will be with you every step of the way, answering questions and offering support.
The process from detection to the final treatment is generally three months and involves some simple at-home steps to keep me safe while I recover. The last step in the process is a follow-up test six months after my treatment begins.
The Heartworm treatment process is highly successful and the staff anticipates that I will fully recover! Yeah! You should know that heartworms can only be transmitted from animal to animal by mosquitoes.
Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.
Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (6 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
