Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Reba, yep as in I was named after Reba McEntire! I have beautiful long red fur just like my name sakes hair. I can also have a little bit of a diva personality but once I get to know you my purring will win you over for sure!
Because I’m kind of a diva I do prefer to have no siblings of the human or fur variety. All your attention needs to be on me.
I’m kind of funny in a way too because I’m really shy with meeting new people and all the sounds that come along with the unknown. My foster Mom said it took me a good week to come out from the room I started out at with her. The door was wide open but BOY it was all SO overwhelming! I felt safe curled up with her books on the bookshelf. She slowly helped me come out by moving my food tray a little every day. Looking back, I laugh as we cuddle on the couch together. She even got a pillow of my own to lay right next to her, so she doesn’t forget about me as she watches tv or scrolls through socials. Sometimes she does forget, and I have to remind her that I MUST have her attention by giving her a little love bite. It’s just a gentle reminder and nothing to be fearful of. Remember I said I’m a diva and need all the attention, well this is my way of ensuring that.
Are you a talkative person? I sure hope so because I know that I am! I talk to my foster Mom throughout the day. Usually, to announce my presence in the morning, to remind her to feed me, or sometimes while she is cooking too. I also love watching birds and squirrels from the slider door.
I do love being pet! Sometimes I’ll even roll over for a belly rub! Those are the best! You may notice while I’m on my back that I do not have front claws, but I do have my back claws. I occasionally like to pretend like I have front claws and wrap my paws around my foster Moms arm and might bite because I get so excited that we’re playing. It doesn’t last long though so just take your hand away or walk away and that will stop me.
