This is Harley. She is a red/rust spayed 4 year old. Harley is about as close to perfect as they come, just ask her foster family, LOL!
Harley interacts wonderfully with people, children, and other dogs. In her foster home, she has been around an older small breed, a puppy, and another Doberman, and she plays very well with all of them, being especially gentle with the puppy. She seems aware of her size and is mindful in her interactions. Her favorite thing is snuggling with her people, and she is extremely calm, easy to care for, and walks great on a leash. She has been excellent with kids of all ages, allowing them to lay on her with no issues. Although she may bark at people walking by, she is not a compulsive barker. Overall, she is a love bug.
A typical day for her is low maintenance and relaxed. She enjoys lounging around, looking out the window, and spending short periods outside but prefers being indoors. She loves walks and car rides, and enjoys playing with the resident dogs and kids or chewing on her toys and bones. She doesn't chew on things
she shouldn't or steal food. She's gentle when taking treats and knows basic commands, including shake. She also enjoys training sessions and is an overall easy-going, well-behaved dog.
She has been introduced to cats and would likely do well with a dog-savvy cat.
She eats well, does not hoard or eat quickly. She is fully potty trained and will go to the
door and wait to be let out when she needs to go to the bathroom. No special diet.
She is crate trained and goes in easily, remaining quiet while inside. She will even go to her crate voluntarily when it's open. She has been fine when left out unattended, although her fosters haven't left
her out for extended periods when they aren't home. She has slept both in her kennel at night and in bed with foster. She doesn't chew great in both situations not getting up through the night.
She loves car rides. When stopped waiting for kids to get done with practice we did notice she
will bark at people on scooters or bikes but we are working to correct this. She's doing well with it.
She does great walking on a leash. Knows basic command including heal, stay, sit and down. She also can shake. She is an eager learner.
Harley is a smiler! Whenever you say her name, she flashes the biggest grin, showing her teefers in a happy, playful way. When her fosters first met her, they didn't realize she was smiling, but we soon figured
out that it was her way of showing how happy she is. In fact, her adorable smile has gone viral on TikTok with 30,000 views!
