Meet Fenn, a charming pup who`s overflowing with affection and zest for life. Fenn`s personality is an irresistible mix of sweet and goofy, making him a delightful companion. His mellow nature is a calming presence, but don`t be fooled, he`s also brimming with energy and always up for playtime. He`s the perfect partner for both quiet evenings and adventurous days out. Fenn`s playful spirit and cuddly demeanor make every moment a joy. His friendliness extends to everyone he meets, making him a lovable addition to any home. Adopt Fenn and add a dash of fun, a sprinkle of silliness, and a whole lot of love to your life.
Regularly Exhibited Behaviours Noticed: - Mouthy - Separation Anxiety - Nervous/Shy - Jumpy - High Energy - Under Socialized - Reactivity
Explanation of Behaviours: - An active dog that will need plenty of exercise, training, stimulation and enrichment daily to set him up for success. - Fenn would do best as the only dog in the home, he would love for you to shower him with all your love! - Fenn has shown to be nervous and shy of new people, in new situations and in new environments. His new family will need to work with him on slowly and properly desensitizing him to the world around him. - Fenn has shown to have some sound sensitivity. - Fenn can become excitable resulting in him lacking some manners by jumping up on people. - Fenn’s new family should be prepared to possibly deal with separation anxiety. - Fenn has shown to be sensitive to medical manipulations and procedures while in our care. Fenn can become uncomfortable when receiving medical treatment, being restrained and when being physically manipulated for medical care. Fenn’s new family should be prepared to work with their trainer to help desensitize him to medical care and speak with their vet so they are prepared prior to having him brought in for vet appointments - Fenn has shown to be reactive to other dogs out of fear/discomfort typically while out on walks and when seeing other dogs from a distance.
This dog would benefit from: - An active home - A home of all adults or including older children - Plenty of training and socializing - A patient family - A home where Fenn would be the only dog
Training needs/behaviours that need to be worked with for this dog: - Basic training - Basic manners (jumping up and mouthing) - Socializing and desensitizing - Confidence buildi

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
