Meet Blu, a playful and independent pup who’s always ready for fun! Blu loves all types of toys and can keep himself entertained for hours. He’s a joy to walk, as he handles the leash like a pro, making strolls a breeze. When his playful nature shines through, he’s sure to bring lots of laughter and love to his new home. And if you’re looking to win him over, a good butt scratch is the fastest way to his heart! Blu is the perfect companion for someone who enjoys an active and joyful furry friend.

Blu would benefit most from an adult only household.

We are not sure how he is around cat friends.

Blu went on a Doggy Day Out with one of our wonderful volunteers and has a great time. He was described as mellow, friendly, and treat-motivated. He loved car-rides and going on walks.

Here is what our volunteers have to say about him:

"Blu did great on his Doggy Day Out! He was pretty slow moving on walks and really mellow. He didn't want to stray too far from the car and felt that the car was his safe place. Blu observed dogs from a distance and did great with that- no reactivity. His focus was not bad and then just ignored. He did great leash walking being at the side or behind me. Pretty slow moving and didn't want to be out very long. Blue could definitely be on more Doggy Day Outs!"

"Blu did a GREAT job out today! He loved walking and did perfect on the leash. He is very curious and loved saying hi to all who passed by, even those in their car lol! He got excited seeing other pups but did a fantastic job with self control. He's a perfect and wonderful boy who is full of love and happiness."

"Blu had a great day on his Doggy Day Out! He is a fantastic walker and car-rider. He loved playing ball in an enclosed space and getting a toy with a speaker in it. He loves to get snuggles and pets. He becomes attached to his "people" quickly and gets slightly nervous when both of us were not near him (example- one of us went into a gas station). He experienced one smaller dog walking past him while he was relaxing in the lawn and he appeared to get somewhat reactive, causing us to hold him back. He is a great doggy and we hope his forever home comes soon for him"

"Blu was so gentle and kind! We visited with many adults and he gladly accepted all of their pets and love! Blu saw dogs from afar and was definitely curious but did so well. If I could, I would keep him forever. He's be such a great loveable cuddle buddy!"

"Blu got to go on car rides, walks, and got to relax. Blu did wonderful with anything we were doing. He got really excited waiting in line for his pup cup. If I was able to, I would adopt him. He is so sweet and loveable. He also got many many pets from many different people."

Blu would do fine in a household with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust.
