Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Location: Lexington, SC
Name: Bobby
Age: 1.5 years (~DOB: 12/4/22)
Breed: Bully/dachshund?? Bully body/head on a weenie dog type body - possibly chihuahua based on personality - 30 lbs
M/F: M
Spayed/Neutered/Shots: Neutered; UTD on rabies, dhpp, bordetella, heartworm prevention; microchipped
Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: good with kids; good with larger dogs that will keep him in check; not good with smaller dogs or cats
Aggression or medical issues?: no known medical - is an alpha male dog that will bully any animal that he can or that lets him (currently housed with many other dogs but they all constantly have to keep him in check)
Reason for rehoming?: found stray - no owners could be located; adopted and returned after he started bullying smaller dogs extensively
House/crate trained?: crate trained but will try to pitch a fit in the crate the first couple of days in a new home to try to convince you he isn’t. He was also returned for “pottying in the house” from last owner’s house but I do not have that happen here. Idk if it is because I have a fenced in yard he can go explore whenever he wants or because I have no carpet (last owner had carpet)? But I have never had him mark once at my new house. He does get an excitement tinkle sometimes when I first get home (just a teeny bit), but that’s it, and they normally outgrow that by 2-3.
Additional info/story (personality):
Talkative and loves attention. Does love to cuddle. Does jump, but he is stubby and his jumps don’t reach much height. Is terrified of snakes I learned so idk what that indicates about his breed makeup as all the definitive pit mixes were not afraid of the snake in the slightest. Although he is tiny, he pulls on a leash hard when he wants something specifically. Need heavy duty toys and the stuffed ones don’t last long at all.

We are foster based only at this time.

Meet and greets for cats are near impossible normally because we all foster/house both cats and dogs and the dogs "go off" when visitors come over making all the cats hide.

More about this rescue
In service of domestic animals in South Carolina, Frisky Business Rescue is a no-kill rescue that provides vital resources such as veterinary care, birthing assistance, medication, and rehoming or safe release (TNR) to the most vulnerable animals in the region. We specialize in animals with special circumstances that come from various backgrounds, including animal hoarding and abusive situations but primarily focus on vulnerable kittens, puppies, and pregnant/nursing dogs and cats. Before rehoming, we carefully screen new potential families to ensure the needs of our animals are met and that new homes will become furever homes.
