My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Bard, and I'm an adorable brown tabby kitten on the lookout for my forever home. I have a sweet and calm personality, which makes me the perfect cuddle buddy. One of my favorite things in the world is snuggling with my lovely sister, Druid.  I'm still waiting to be spayed, but don't worry—arrangements are being made for that! When I’m not snuggling, you can find me curiously exploring my surroundings and playing with all sorts of toys. I'm always ready for a little adventure, and I would love to share that spirit of exploration with my new family. If you're looking for a loving companion, I'm available for adoption at PetSmart in Rockwall. I would be thrilled to meet you and hopefully become a cherished member of your family! More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer non-profit organization.  FRAs was founded in 2004 and started off with 4 volunteers that wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter.

Our organization has grown to 400 volunteers supporting both the Rowlett Animal Shelter and the Garland Animal Shelter. With this growth now we are able to host multiple off-site adoption events, sponsor heartworm treatments program, operate our own cat rescue program, and so much more!
