My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Star - Sweetheart or SQUEAKheart?

Hi! I'm Star and I'm available for adoption.

Rat-tastic FACTS:
- We're highly intelligent! Rats are known to be incredibly smart and can be trained to do tricks and respond to commands.
- Did you know that our teeth never stop growing? That's why we need chew toys to keep our teeth healthy and short.
- Despite our reputation, we are very clean animals and can be trained to use a litter box.
- We love to play and stay active! That's why we enjoy having toys, tunnels, and even puzzles in our enclosure to keep us entertained and happy.
- My relatives are famous! You may have seen my uncle Remy starring in Ratatouille, or perhaps my distant mouse cousin Fievel from An American Tail!

While I might not be on the big screen, I'm ready to bring lots of star-worthy love and fun to your home!

Rats adopted through ITAV are required to be kept as pets. They thrive in an enriching environment and inviting enclosure. They are highly social creatures and do best with a companion to socialize with. They can form strong bonds with people making them GREAT family pets!

**Important note: Star is an intact rat, meaning she hasn't been spayed or neutered. I'll need to be housed with other females to avoid breeding.

If you are interested in adopting this rat, please fill out an application, using the link below. Please specify which rat you are interested in. Applications without a specific rat, or otherwise incomplete, will not be considered. Adoption Fee is $50.
