My name is Nate!

Hi! Nate is a shar pei bulldog mix. He was a rescue. I've had him since he was 6 months old. He is now almost 10. Nate does ok around other dogs when we are outside, but he has never lived with another pet. He is very protective of me and my new grandson. I overly protective of my grandson! It takes him a while to warm up to people so I mostly put him in another room when I have visitors. He is food aggressive and doesn't like to be handled. (Doesn't like the vet, grooming, etc.) He had some rashes, bad sight, and ear issues that I can't afford to address and it makes it difficult because he doesn't like to be handled. I love him with my whole heart but I know that where I am on life right now someone else can give him a better home than I can. I would suggest a home with no kids where he could get all the attention. He likes being outdoors to play. He sleeps on a dog bed now but enjoys being on furniture if he is allowed!
