My name is Butternut!

Hunting for the right dog, this yellow lab mix may just be the right dog for you.  Butternut is a lovable, experienced dog who is about 10 years old and weighs about 50 pounds.  He is a gentle soul (just look at those eyes) who walks well on a leash, loves his road trips, gets along great with other dogs and has yet to meet a person he doesn’t like.  He enjoys spending time playing in the yard and is well behaved when he comes inside.  He is a master at finding ways to get comfortable for naps and loves to be by his people.  He spends his days crated while we are at work and is excited to see us when we get home. If you are looking for a mature dog who still has plenty of life in him, Butternut is the guy for you!

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
