My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The ultimate people-loving pup with a big heart and an even bigger personality! Mars is always eager to meet new friends and shower them with affection, making every visitor feel like they’re his absolute favorite. Mars has a special way of making people feel welcomed, whether he’s curling up next to you for some quality snuggle time or leaning in for endless pets. He thrives on human connection and will quickly become your most loyal and loving companion.

Mars is not just affectionate—he’s quite the conversationalist, too! Known for his adorable `talking` habit, he loves sharing his thoughts with playful little barks, chatty whines, and happy howls. His expressive nature and unique way of communicating make him a joy to be around, always keeping you entertained and feeling connected. Mars will happily keep you company during quiet evenings or lively gatherings, adding his own special brand of love and enthusiasm to every moment.

Mars is 8m old, Male, Mixed Breed, Large (Over 44 lbs fully grown). He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations and preventions.

Reason for Foster: Upper Respiratory Infection (URI)

Foster Time Frame: 2 Weeks

Foster Care Plan: Mars is currently undergoing treatment for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. There is a possibility that he is contagious to other animals, so we strongly recommend keeping him separated in a bedroom or bathroom away from your personal pets until he has fully recovered. He will go home with medication and once his medication is completed he will have a recheck to move forward with surgery/adoption.

Foster to Adopt Program:

Mars is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/ or email us at foster@operationkindness.org to learn more.
