Meet the Pet
This helps The Rescue Crew with pet care costs.
Meet Boots! This lovable guy is making great progress and is quickly adjusting to life in a foster home. Boots is keeping his kennel clean and dry, and he’s not marking in the house, which is a big plus! He’s mostly quiet while crated, with just a little whining and howling at first, but he settles down quickly.
Although Boots is still a little shy around other dogs, he's showing good manners by avoiding them while they’re in their crates, carefully walking around the edges of the room. He prefers to go in and out of the house via a quieter route, so his foster hasn’t introduced him to the other pups just yet. Initially timid outdoors, Boots would do his business quickly and rush back inside, but now he’s gaining confidence. He’s taking more time to sniff around, observe the neighborhood, and adjust to city noises.
One of Boots’ favorite things is getting all the attention—he’s very demanding when it comes to pets! He loves to cuddle and will happily lay next to or on his foster mom whenever possible. Despite his stocky, “long brick with legs” look, Boots is making progress with his weight, thanks to his walks around the yard. He’s slimming down and even has a visible waistline now! Boots is a careful eater, typically finishing about ¾ cup of his daily portion, and he's already showing signs of becoming a healthier version of himself.
Boots is also quite the jumper—able to hop onto a 2-foot-tall bed in one leap—and he's full of affection, often jumping up for extra pets. He’s turning into a wonderful companion who will thrive in a loving home where he can continue to build confidence and, of course, receive plenty of cuddles!
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.
All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown.
