Meet Patience! This exuberant girl is playful and friendly. She knows sit and likes treats. She has fun playing with toys and balls. Patience enjoys human interaction, getting attention and sharing her zest for life. She pulls moderately on leash, so would benefit from additional training. Patience was a little timid, but friendly when she met a female shepherd. She has not shown any signs of resource guarding food or toys. We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
