My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, my name is Penny, and I was taken into the rescue very recently when there was a bit of an emergency situation in a town in south Jersey. I came in with my sister Amber who is also posted for adoption, and we look exactly alike.

It seems there was almost 20 of us left outside to run around with a bunch of chickens. We were running around the neighborhood and darting in and out of traffic. When rescues and law enforcement arrived on the scene some of the buns were found deceased with others living in the same area. Multiple rescues came together to find placements for all the animals.

I was immediately scene by a vet and was spayed. I have recovered well and now have a clean bill of health. I am learning how to use a litterbox which is quite new for me considering I was running around outside but my foster mom says although originally I had no clue what that box was for, I am now getting the hang of it.

I am eating a proper diet of Oxbow Adult Timothy Pellets, timothy hay and a big bowl of fresh water. I am slowly being introduced to various greens to see what I like and make sure it's not too upsetting for my digestiion.

I may be a good bonding candidate for any neutered males searching for a friend.

Would you consider opening your heart and home to a sweet lady like me?

More about this rescue

After fostering for over 20 years I decided it was time to open my own rescue. Bunnies are intelligent caring sensitive creatures who blossom in the right environment. They have much more spunk and personality than most people realize . You will be a convert once you have the chance to experience first hand how wonderful a compainon they can be.
