Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey there! My name's Chloe, and I've been through quite the adventure. My sister Cleo and I came to Gateway from Estill County Animal Shelter, where things were a bit scary. People weren't always kind to us, and we ended up at the shelter because someone threatened us. Luckily, Gateway had room for us!
Cleo helped me a lot - she's my hero! She found her forever home, but I'm still looking for mine. I'm proud of how far I've come. I used to be really scared, but I'm learning to trust again. All I want now is a loving family who will keep me safe and happy forever. Could that be you? I promise to be the best friend you've ever had.
The adoption fee of $175 includes your pet’s:
• Spay/Neuter
• Annual Vaccines
• Rabies (if of age)
• Heartworm Testing
• Preventative
• Microchipping

More about this rescue
We are a humane society that was established in 1982. For quite some time we have worked without a physical facility doing neglect, cruelty investigations and follow-ups, as well as rescue and adoptions from the county shelter and directly from the community. We work with a humane society in New Hampshire and transport dogs there several times per year in addition to doing local adoptions. We have just finished building a small shelter/spay neuter clinic. We are located in an area that has a high-kill county shelter and believe that the only long term solution is to promote spaying and neutering in every way possible.
