My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I'm Holly. I'm just a little puppy, still learning about the world around me. I'm a friendly soul, always eager to make new friends. I might be a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I promise you'll see just how sweet and gentle I can be. I'm not the kind of pup who's always bouncing off the walls, I prefer quiet moments and gentle play. I'm looking for a family who can give me lots of love and patience, and in return, I'll be your most loyal friend. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle soul to add to your family, I could be the perfect pup for you.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
