Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Howdy! I'm one-eared Willy, and I've got a heart as big as the Texas sky! Despite losing an ear in a tussle, I've got kisses aplenty and a knack for making folks smile. You know, they named me after the great Willie Nelson himself! Just like Willie's songs, I've got a soulful spirit and a love for life that shines through. Even with my little mishap, I'm as kind-hearted as they come. Currently, I'm starting treatment for Lyme disease, but I'm takin' it all in stride with a big ol' waggin' tail and a smile. If you're looking for a furry companion who will fill your home with love, laughter, and original tunes , I reckon I'm your hound. come meet me, and let the harmony of our hearts begin!

More about this rescue
We are a humane society that was established in 1982. For quite some time we have worked without a physical facility doing neglect, cruelty investigations and follow-ups, as well as rescue and adoptions from the county shelter and directly from the community. We work with a humane society in New Hampshire and transport dogs there several times per year in addition to doing local adoptions. We have just finished building a small shelter/spay neuter clinic. We are located in an area that has a high-kill county shelter and believe that the only long term solution is to promote spaying and neutering in every way possible.
