My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hiiiii everyone!!! My name is Bandy. My foster mom says it’s probably short for rubber band because I like to randomly jump with all four legs in the air! Anyway, I’m about 2 years old, I’m neutered, and am a blue heeler mix. I am dog friendly and also seem to be kid friendly as well, cats I’m not sure of yet. I’ve never been around them! I am house trained and walk pretty well on a leash, but I LOVE walking in zig zags! I’m also really good in a crate! One funny thing is my doctor says I’m a little bit hard of hearing. My foster mom says I just have “selective hearing.” I don’t know what that is, so I just ignore her!

All in all, I am the most handsome, sweetest boy around. I love playing with toys, I love blankets, and I would love to be your new best friend!!

If your application is chosen and approved we will setup a meet and greet with the pet. You will hear back regardless if chosen or not.

We place the dogs in the best home not the first home. Please be patient while we go over all apps and we will be in touch.

We are foster based. You must apply on Crossyourpaws.com first. If your application is chosen as the best fit for the dog we will move forward with the approval process. Once approved you will be setup with a time to meet the dog. Our dogs are all over the greater Pittsburgh area.

Here at Cross Your Paws Rescue, we are driven by a single goal; to save lives. We are doing our part in making the world a better place for all pets. Our decision to start a rescue is not one that we have taken lightly, it has come after years of volunteer work with other groups. Our goal is to make this world a place where starving, abused animals is a thing of the past. That shelters filled with dogs and cats waiting to be euthanized is unheard of. We want euthanasia to be something to help pets on their way to the Rainbow bridge not to end lives because of overpopulation. We vow to save every life that we can.
