My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Henry! My sister Margo and I were found lost in the wilderness. I‘m super friendly with people and love to be held, cuddled, and the center of attention. I can be shy around other dogs but once I warm up to them I want to play! I can be sensitive to some sounds and sometimes made nervous by random objects. I like to nap but also LOVE LOVE going for hikes, regular walks and exploring the outdoors( I am up to 4 miles a day and thriving!)! I do have a high prey drive and will chase most other animals. I have a lot of energy when I’m awake and want to play! I would do well with a big fenced in yard to run around in in addition to my daily walks. I do not do well on my own and need a lot of companionship from either a doggy and/or person. I have no experience with small children so don’t know how I would do. I’m crate trained, potty trained and neutered.

If your application is chosen and approved we will setup a meet and greet with the pet. You will hear back regardless if chosen or not.

We place the dogs in the best home not the first home. Please be patient while we go over all apps and we will be in touch.

We are foster based. You must apply on Crossyourpaws.com first. If your application is chosen as the best fit for the dog we will move forward with the approval process. Once approved you will be setup with a time to meet the dog. Our dogs are all over the greater Pittsburgh area.

Our decision to start a rescue is not one that we have taken lightly, it has come after years of volunteer work with other groups. Our goal is to make this world a place where starving, abused animals is a thing of the past. That shelters filled with dogs and cats waiting to be euthanized is unheard of. We want euthanasia to be something to help pets on their way to the Rainbow bridge not to end lives because of overpopulation. We vow to save every life that we can.
