Tim the Toolman Taylor is a working cat! That doesn't mean he wears a tool belt and you can't hire him to remodel your bathroom but he will work hard on your property to help keep rodents away. He came from a hoarding case with over 100 other cats so his access to humans was very limited. He is semi-feral and will thrive in an outdoor environment, like a barn, warehouse, or factory to help control rodent and pest populations naturally. He may or may not ever be suited for an indoor home but will do well with an outdoor "job." Just provide him with shelter, food, water, and basic care. He is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We are here to help you find the one for you! When you come to the shelter please bring your photo ID.

2.
Take the Pet Home

Adopt and the pet is legally yours! Or choose to "slumber party" which is a trial adoption. You will have up to two weeks to decide.

3.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee is $60 for a dog and $35 for a cat. Those living within Citrus County, FL. will also purchase a $10 county license fee.

All adopters must be at least 18 years old. The adoption fee is $60 for a dog and $35 for a cat. Those living within Citrus County, FL. will also purchase a $10 county license fee. All pets are spayed/neutered, current on age and species appropriate vaccinations and flea and heartworm prevention. Kittens under 6 months of age are tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV), and Cats over 6months of age are tested for FeLV and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Dogs over 6 months of age are tested for heartworm disease. If the dog is heartworm positive, the treatment will be provided by our Veterinarian, at no cost to the adopter, sponsored by our generous community partner Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection (CCFAP).
