My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 3 years old
Weight: 31.4kg / 69.2lbs

A little bit about Domingo:
- Unknown history with children; all interactions should be carefully supervised by an adult
- Unknown history with cats and other small animals; all introductions should be done slowly over a period of time
- Unknown history with other dogs; potential for another dog in home pending successful introduction

Domingo, a charming German Shepherd mix, was found as a stray, so we don’t know much about his past. But what we do know is he’s sweet, social, and ready to be your new best buddy! The shelter’s a bit stressful for him, so he’ll need a patient home where he can learn how great it is to have a family. With positive reinforcement training and a whole lot of love, Domingo will thrive and be the perfect addition to your life. Ready to dance through life with Domingo? He’s waiting for you!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
