Meet Star! Star is a 4 year old "cavapoo who came to us along with 9 other dogs after being surrendered by a commercial breeding facility in Lancaster county.
This particular breeder asked us to meet him on the side of the road near his house, where he then directed us to a hidden shed in the middle of a field. In that shed, that appeared to come straight out of a horror movie, was Molly and the other mill mamas looking absolutely terrified and sickly.
As expected, all of the mill mamas came to us covered in mats, masses, and in dire need of dental procedures. They have never received any medical care, hygiene, or grooming and therefore have suffered through painful mats pulling on their skin, uncomfortable masses on their body, and extremely painful and inflamed gums for an unknown amount of time. We have gotten them all back up to health and they are all enjoying decompressing in foster homes
She will require a family who understands her past, and is patient with her as she transition to living life in a home and around kind people. Our mill mamas are always extremely special, and we promise you there is no love out there that compares to theirs! This should go without saying, but we require all our animals to be trained using positive reinforcement methods ONLY.
