Casper is an approximately 10 y/o double Merle Australian Sheppard. Double Merles are the product of two Merle gene dogs. They are typically born deaf and/or blind. He is neither. His eye sight has declined as he has aged and bumps into things when he’s transitioning from bright environments into darker ones.
He is truly the sweetest guy and loves people. If he could be strapped to you all day he would be happy!
He is ok with other dogs but does take time to warm up. He loves people! He’s ok with kids but I suggest a home with older kids (ages 7+) just because he can’t see well and is jumpy. He’s never aggressive but moves quickly to get up when startled, so he may knock down smaller kids.
Casper is a really good boy and deserves a home where he can be loved on and taken on daily walks. He is simply not getting the attention he deserves with us any longer due to newer, high need members of our family and paying for basic veterinary care for him has become difficult.
