My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Willow is a six year old female pit mix. She has a lovely brindle coat and those soulful pittie eyes that will make you want to shower her with treats and love. Willow lived with four small dogs as well as cats. She was dog-tested at her previous shelter and did well. Willow would love to get back into a home where she can continue to perfect her couch surfing. Apply at ITVrescue.org for Willow.

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
